Common questions
What is the actual wage?
Basic salary plus fixed allowances such as housing and transport. That is why the calculator asks for allowances with the basic salary.
Why 240 hours?
Because that is a 30-day month of 8-hour days, the usual basis for payroll in Saudi Arabia.
Can a company pay more than this?
Yes. The calculator shows the minimum the law sets, and a company may pay a higher rate. Seen lets you set the rate in HR settings.
Is overtime included in the GOSI contribution?
No. The contribution is worked out on basic salary plus housing only; overtime pay is not part of it.
How does Seen know the overtime hours?
From attendance records and approved timesheets. It counts each day's hours beyond the usual shift and adds the pay to payroll once approved.
