Plan
Plan the work, and see what is blocked.
Every task on a board and on a timeline, from start date to due date. When one task waits on another, Seen says so.
- A task board: to do, in progress, in review, done and blocked
- A timeline of every task from start to due date
- Dependencies: each task shows what it is blocked by
- Milestones with due dates, subtasks and estimated hours
Time & cost
Every hour logged, and what it is worth.
Your team logs hours against tasks. Seen prices each hour at the person’s bill and cost rate, so the project’s cost and value build up as you work.
- Log hours per task, billable or not
- Time is approved before it counts
- A bill rate and a cost rate for each team member, with a warning when billing below cost
- Budget, actual cost, billable value and margin on every project
- An over-budget flag when hours pass the plan
Tasks
Everyone’s work, in one place.
Beyond projects, every task in the company sits in one list. See it by due date, on a board, or by person to spot who is overloaded.
- My tasks and the tasks I assigned
- List, board and workload views
- An "Overloaded" flag when someone has too much open
- Checklists, comments, overdue and due-soon warnings

Questions about Projects
Does a project open when we win a deal?
Yes. When a deal is won, or the customer accepts the quote online, Seen opens the project for you.
Can we track time on projects?
Yes. Each person logs hours against a task and marks them billable or not. A manager approves the time before it counts.
Can I see if a project makes money?
Yes. Each project shows its budget, the actual cost of the time logged, the billable value and the margin, with a flag when it goes over budget.
Is there a Gantt chart?
Yes. The timeline shows every task from its start date to its due date, and which tasks are blocked by others.
Can I invoice a project in stages?
Not yet, coming soon. You will be able to bill a deposit, milestones and a final payment from the project.
Can staff without a login be on a project?
Yes. Add them to the team with their cost rate, even if they never log in.
