Common questions

What is the difference between gross and net salary?

Gross is basic salary plus allowances. Net is what reaches the employee's account after deductions.

Is the transport allowance part of the GOSI contribution?

No. The contribution is worked out on basic salary plus housing only, though transport is part of gross pay.

Does the calculator include absence and overtime?

No. It works out a full month with no absence or overtime. Payroll in Seen adds both from attendance records.

Can a loan instalment be more than the salary?

No. Seen deducts the instalment within what is left of the salary after other deductions, so net pay never falls below zero.

Is there income tax on salaries in Saudi Arabia?

Employee salaries in Saudi Arabia carry no income tax, so the calculator deducts none.
