Common questions

Which wage are GOSI contributions worked out on?

Basic salary plus housing allowance. Transport, overtime and other allowances are not included.

Why do two Saudi employees pay different rates?

Because the pension rate for people first registered on or after 3 July 2024 differs from the rate for those registered before, and it rises a little every year.

Is anything deducted from a non-Saudi employee's salary?

No. The employer alone pays the occupational hazards contribution for a non-Saudi employee.

What if the wage is below the floor?

The contribution is worked out on the floor: SAR 1,500 for Saudis and SAR 400 for non-Saudis. Anything above SAR 45,000 carries no contribution.

Does Seen work out GOSI for every employee automatically?

Yes. Payroll picks the right rate for each employee from their nationality and registration date, and shows the basis on the payslip.
