VAT return
Your VAT return, straight from your books.
Pick the filing period and Seen fills in the 16 ZATCA boxes from your posted entries, then checks them against your VAT accounts before you file.
- All 16 boxes of the ZATCA VAT return
- Every figure comes from posted entries, not retyped
- Checked against your output and input VAT accounts
- Open any box to see the documents behind it
- Monthly or quarterly filing, and export to CSV
Ledger
Every sale, bill and salary in one ledger.
Double-entry accounting with a Saudi chart of accounts. Invoices, bills, expenses, petty cash and payroll post their own entries, so month-end is a review, not a rebuild.
- Double-entry ledger with a Saudi chart of accounts in Arabic and English
- Invoices, bills, expenses, petty cash and payroll post by themselves
- A manual entry is posted by someone else, and where an administrator approves their own the entry records it
- Close a month so nothing new lands in it; reopen it with permission
- Corrections by reversing entry; nothing is deleted
Expenses
Expense claims with a proper approval.
Staff claim what they spent with the receipt attached. A different person approves it, and it reaches the ledger with its VAT only when posted.
- Claims with receipts, categories and VAT on each line
- A claim is approved by somebody else, and where an administrator approves their own the claim records it
- Clear statuses: awaiting approval, approved, posted, rejected
- A posted expense is corrected by reversing it, never deleted
- Approve expenses and bills from your phone, between meetings

Questions about accounting
Is the VAT return ready to file?
Seen prepares the figures for all 16 ZATCA boxes from your posted entries and checks them against your VAT accounts. You then file them on the ZATCA portal; Seen does not submit the return for you.
Does payroll go into the accounts?
Yes. Approving a payroll run posts salaries and GOSI to the ledger, and paying it posts the payment.
Can I bring my chart of accounts and opening balances?
Yes. Use the ready Saudi chart of accounts or import your own from Excel, then import your opening balances with a preview.
Can I close a month?
Yes. Close a period and nothing new can be posted into it. Someone with permission can reopen it.
Can my accountant work in Seen?
Yes. Give them a role that decides exactly what they can do: post entries, approve, close periods or only view reports.
Do you have a cash flow statement or Zakat figures?
Not yet, coming soon. A cash flow statement, an annual report pack and Zakat preparation figures for your accountant are on the way.
